Sequence MCP
Connect Grok Bot to Sequence
Connect Grok Bot to Sequence MCP to send Snippy tasks from chat. Choose a Sequence workspace and project, describe the footage or timeline work you need, and review the changes with your team in Sequence.
Remote MCP server URL: https://agent.prod.sequence.film/mcp
Set up Sequence in Grok Bot
- In a Grok Bot chat, ask it to add a custom MCP server named Sequence at https://agent.prod.sequence.film/mcp.
- Check that the server URL matches the one shown above, then select Add It.
- Select Authorize on the connection card. Sign in to Sequence in your browser and review the access request. Grok Bot connects through Cursor, so the Sequence consent page asks you to allow Cursor.
- Return to Grok Bot and confirm that Sequence appears under Installed in Connect apps. If sign-in did not finish, use Reconnect on the app or Reopen on the connection card.
- Ask Grok Bot to find your Sequence workspaces and projects. Choose the project and specify the material before asking Snippy to make changes.
Give Snippy a specific task
Replace the workspace, project, and material names in this example with your own:
In workspace Studio and project Short film, ask Snippy to build a stringout from the selects Intro, Interview answer, and Closing, in that order. Tell me when it is ready to review in Sequence.
Grok Bot connects through Cursor, so the Sequence consent screen names Cursor. It uses the Sequence account you authorize. If your team manages connected apps, follow its connection policies. Snippy changes the shared Sequence project, and collaborators see those changes. Name the workspace, project, and material you want to use, then review the result in Sequence. AI usage is metered; check Pricing for allowances and additional usage charges.
Common questions
Can Grok Bot edit a Sequence project?
Yes. Add Sequence as a custom MCP server in Grok Bot, authorize your Sequence account, and ask Snippy to organize footage or change a timeline in your chosen project. Review the result in Sequence.
Why does the Sequence sign-in page mention Cursor?
Grok Bot connects to Sequence through Cursor. The Sequence consent page therefore asks you to allow Cursor. Check that you started the connection from Grok Bot and review the requested access before approving it.
What if Grok Bot adds Sequence but cannot use it?
An installed connection may still need authentication. Open Sequence in Grok Bot’s Connect apps and choose Authenticate or Authorize. If the sign-in page did not open or finish, use Reconnect or Reopen and complete Sequence sign-in in your browser.
