One shared project
Post-production in one shared project
Sequence brings the shared-media workflow of LucidLink, the editing work of Premiere Pro, and the review workflow of Frame.io into one browser-based project, with Snippy to help organize footage and shape timelines. Upload media, edit the same timeline together, and share Screenings for feedback. Review the workflow and platform limits before replacing your current tools.
One project for the whole cut
With LucidLink, your media lives in a Filespace that feeds a separate editor. Sequence replaces the Filespace and the editor it feeds: footage, timelines, and review belong to the same cloud project. Start a new cut with your team, then share it from the project where you made it.
Shared storage, with Finder access on Mac
Edit cloud media in the browser without mounting a drive. For Finder access, Sequence Shuttle mounts your project as a local volume and caches media as you use it. Shuttle is macOS only; Windows users upload and edit through the browser.
Edit the same timeline together
Edit the same timeline together and see changes as they happen, without locking bins or handing off the timeline. Named cursors show where collaborators are working. Time Travel lets you explore the project's edit history, duplicate a past state, or revert to it.
Screenings keep feedback close to the edit
Publish a Screening from a timeline or library item and collect comments on a frame or range. Reviewers can reply and mention collaborators. Public links are available to anyone with the link; private screenings are limited to project members. Screenings do not yet offer passwords, link expiry, watermarks, or freeform drawing annotations.
A browser editor for a new project
Sequence is a nonlinear editor (NLE) in your browser. Use Chrome, Edge, or Safari on a desktop operating system. Cloud editing needs an internet connection. You can export timeline packages for other editors, but importing an existing Premiere or other NLE timeline into Sequence is not supported yet.
Delegate assistant editing tasks to Snippy
Ask Snippy to find selects, arrange clips, and apply effects in your project. AI uses your workspace’s usage allowance and credits. Specify the clips or selects and the changes you want. Snippy acts on the shared project, so review its work as you would a collaborator's. It is not a one-click rough-cut generator.
Compare the workflow
| Workflow | LucidLink + Premiere Pro + Frame.io | Sequence |
|---|---|---|
| Media | LucidLink Filespace mounted for a separate editor. | Cloud media inside the editing project; optional Shuttle mount on macOS. |
| Editing | Premiere Pro edits media from the Filespace. | Edit in Chrome, Edge, or Safari without a separate desktop NLE. |
| Working together | Premiere Productions uses project locking to coordinate shared work. | Multiple editors work on the same timeline in real time, without bin-locking. |
| Review | Frame.io provides a separate review workspace. | Screenings and frame or range comments belong to the Sequence project. |
| Desktop media access | LucidLink offers clients for macOS, Windows, and Linux. | Shuttle is macOS only; browser editing is available on other supported desktop platforms. |
| Camera to Cloud | Frame.io offers Camera to Cloud workflows. | No Camera to Cloud. Upload media, import from a URL, or use Shuttle. |
| Review controls | Frame.io offers password, expiry, and watermark options. | Public or private Screenings; no password, expiry, or watermark options yet. |
| Existing timelines | Continue editing existing Premiere projects in Premiere. | Timeline export is available; importing timelines from other editors is not yet supported. |
| AI assistance | Capabilities depend on the tools in your stack. | Snippy organizes media and edits timelines from your instructions; usage is metered. |

Check these limits before switching
- Shuttle is macOS only. It is not a cross-platform replacement for a LucidLink mounted drive.
- Camera to Cloud ingest is not available. Use browser upload, URL import, or Shuttle.
- Screenings do not support passwords, link expiry, watermarking, or freeform drawing annotations yet.
- Importing an existing timeline from another editor is not supported. Start a new timeline in Sequence; export is available for handoff.
- Use a supported desktop browser and an internet connection. Firefox is not supported.
- Snippy works from your instructions and changes the shared project. It is not a one-click rough-cut generator.

Common questions
Can one tool replace LucidLink, Premiere Pro, and Frame.io?
Sequence can bring shared media, editing, and review into one project for teams starting a new cut. Check your requirements first: Shuttle is macOS only, timeline import and Camera to Cloud are not available, and Screenings lack password, expiry, and watermark options.
When should a team move to a unified post-production workflow?
Start with a new project when your team wants media, editing, and review in the same place. Evaluate the whole path, from upload to a reviewed cut and finishing handoff. Keep existing tools for active projects or requirements that Sequence does not yet cover.
Can multiple editors edit the same timeline like a shared document?
Edit the same timeline together and see changes as they happen, without locking bins or handing off the timeline.
What does Sequence cost, and can I try it?
Team is $75/month and Studio is $400/month, in USD before tax. Team supports 4K timelines and exports; Studio supports 8K. AI, compute, and storage share a monthly usage allowance; additional usage costs extra. A free Team trial includes a one-time usage allowance and requires no credit card.
