Mounting connects a project to Sequence Shuttle so it shows up as a local drive (a volume that appears in Finder like any other disk) — open it and work with its files the same way you would any folder on your Mac. You can mount a project from inside Shuttle itself, or with one click from a project's page in Sequence, and unmount it again when you're done.
Mount a project from the menu bar#
- Click the Shuttle icon in the menu bar to open its dropdown.
- Open the Mount A Project submenu, which lists every project in your current workspace.
- Click the name of a project that doesn't already show a checkmark.
Shuttle mounts the project as a local drive at /Volumes/SequenceProjects/, in a folder named after the project. A checkmark appears next to the project in the menu, and Finder shows the folder like any other drive on your Mac.
Mount a project from Sequence#
- In Sequence, open the project you want to work with.
- Go to the project's Overview page.
- Click Mount with Shuttle.
Sequence hands the project off to Shuttle, which mounts it the same way as choosing it from the menu bar — the project appears mounted in Shuttle, with its folder ready in Finder at /Volumes/SequenceProjects/.
Note
If Shuttle isn't running on your Mac, nothing appears to happen at first — after about two seconds, Sequence assumes Shuttle isn't installed and takes you to the download page instead.
Note
If a project won't mount, macOS may need permission to run a background helper that Shuttle uses to connect drives. See Troubleshoot Shuttle and keep it updated.
Unmount a project#
- Click the Shuttle icon in the menu bar.
- Open the Mount A Project submenu.
- Click the project that currently shows a checkmark.
Shuttle unmounts the drive, the checkmark disappears, and the project's folder is removed from under /Volumes/SequenceProjects/ in Finder.
