Premiere fuses rendering and hand-off into one Export. Sequence splits them: Export Timeline renders a file, and Generate Timeline Package hands your cut to Resolve, Premiere, Pro Tools, or Avid — both as server-side background jobs, nothing to install or queue locally.

Exporting in Sequence#
To render a flat video file, right-click a timeline in the library and choose Export Timeline, or click Export Timeline in the inspector's Timeline Exports module. See Export a timeline to video and the Export settings reference for every field.
To hand your cut to another app, right-click the timeline and choose Generate Timeline Package, choose a Format, and click Generate. See Timeline packages for which format fits your destination NLE and how to conform with Shuttle.
AAF and XML aren't in the video export dialog
Rendering a video and moving your cut to another app are two different dialogs. Interchange formats — OpenTimelineIO, AAF, and Final Cut Pro 7 XML — live only under Generate Timeline Package, not Export Timeline.
