Final Cut Pro 7 XML isn't Final Cut Pro's XML
Generate Timeline Package's XML option is the legacy Final Cut Pro 7 (XMEML) format that Resolve, Premiere Pro, and Media Composer read — not Final Cut Pro X's native .fcpxml. Bringing a Sequence cut back into current Final Cut Pro isn't a direct XML round-trip today.
